Exciting news in my personal illustration world...
I've made some connections with amazing artists over at the new
Shadowcore blog for gaming artists. One of them I already knew from school (more specifically from the Spring Show I participated in, where we sat for the better part of a day next to each other). One of these kind fellows turned me on to a company right here in Portland called Liquid Development that develops game assets.
I sent email samples off to them at the same time as this very, very kind person recommended me to the art director. Long story short, I was hired and in the very next day. Woo! So now I will be doing independent contractor work for Liquid with my vector skillz. Good times. (I can't post any of it, though I hope to continue posting personal work. It's been a while and I need to get back into the swing of that, hopefully with some pieces related to my D&D campaign.)
So yay! Real work for me! Everybody cheer
